3. Admission  Procedure 2025

The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU) in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh will conduct the Uttar Pradesh Common Nursing Entrance Test (UP CNET) in 2025. Registration for the UP CNET 2025 is  begin to 24th March 2025. 

UP CNET 2025 (For B.Sc. Nursing- 4 Year)   

  • The Uttar Pradesh Common Nursing Entrance Test (UP- CNET)  is a state-level exam for admission to B.Sc. Nursing in Private & government nursing institutes in Uttar Pradesh.
  • The exam is conducted by ABVMU.

  • The Uttar Pradesh GNM Entrance Test (UPGIT)  is a state-level exam for admission to GNM in Private & government nursing institutes in Uttar Pradesh.
  • The exam is conducted by ABVMU.

Admission to ABVMU 

  • To be admitted to ABVMU B.Sc. Nursing: candidates must have scored at least 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the 10+2 exam, GNM: at least 40% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics in the 10+2 exam (or) Arts side  With English Mandatory in the 10+2 exam from any recognized board in India.
4. Course Duration
  • B.Sc. Nursing: 4 years
  • GNM: 3 years
  • ANM: 2 years
5. Age Limit
  • B.Sc. Nursing, GNM & ANM: Minimum 17 years, maximum 35 years or no specific Age Limit.
  • Candidates must have scored at least (For B.Sc. Nursing) 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the 10+2 exam ,  (For GNM & ANM ) at least 40% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics in the 10+2 exam , Arts side  With English Mandatory in the 10+2 exam from any recognized board in India.
6. Fee Structure
  • B.Sc. Nursing: ₹95,000 to ₹1.5 lakh per year.
  • GNM: ₹75,000 to ₹1 lakh per year.
  • ANM: ₹60,000 to ₹80,000 per year.

Note:- Fees may differ based on the college’s infrastructure, faculty, and additional facilities.

7. Hostel Fee
  • For students requiring accommodation, hostel fees range between ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh per annum, depending on the facilities provided (e.g., AC/non-AC rooms, food, shared or single room and other amenities).
